Gratitude and the Law Of Attraction

Posted on: October 8th, 2008

Gratitude and the Law of Attraction work to create abundance in your life, even when you do not know how this principle works. Knowing how this principle works is to be using the Law of Attraction to actively create a life that is truly prosperous and in harmony with the universe. Gratitude or appreciation of what we already have is necessary to attract things we want.

Law of Attraction and Gratitude Information

The Law of Attraction is not just a metaphysical idea; it is also a theory that has been proven to work. Science has discovered through quantum physics that there is a very real law of nature, bringing back to use what we think about.

Every day when you wake up try to be thankful. Think about the good things in your live you should be thankful for.
Appreciate your job (even if you don’t like it). Feel gratitude for a place to live. If you have some food, some friends or anything else you can find to appreciate, appreciate it. A lot of people don’t have enough even basic things like food, water and their own place to live. It’s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.

We create our lives through our thoughts and feelings being answered. What we send out is returned back to us in kind. This is the science of manifestation at work.

People that live out their lives experiencing poverty and scarcity usually will broadcast these needy expressions in negative ways. Like attracts like, therefore, the universal consciousness that we are all a part of sends back to us more of the same. Just as positive affirmations and states of mind return to us the same. This helps to answer why some of us believe that our glass is half empty, and others experience their glass as half full.

Law of Attraction and Gratitude Resources

If you start your day with feelings of gratitude you will feel good and you can keep that feeling all day.

But you should also write down something like this: “I am so happy and grateful that…” and then write what you would like to have. For example: “I am very happy and grateful that I make $1 million per year; that I have wonderful and loving wife…etc.” Use the present tense, visualize the things you want, be grateful for them, and think about them as already yours. When you achieve them, you can add new things to your list. When you write about money, start first with amount you believe is possible and then increase the amount when you got the amount you’d written down. Be specific.

When you start doing as described above, at first you might feel strange that you are using present tense for the things you want to have in the future, but it’s important to train your mind and force your mind to think about them in present tense. After some time of playing such “mental ping pong” your mind will obey and will help you to achieve the things you want.

It is important to be consistent with expressing gratitude. Expressing the gratitude writing every day in a notebook is very helpful.

Healing From The Inside Out

Honoring the Hidden Self
Learning how to access our inner voices is a much needed skill that many lack. Most are not taught how to understand the inner self, often ignoring, for one reason or another, the hurt and pain that is often buried deep inside. If we learn to attend to that all important inner voice, rather then silencing or ignoring it, then we will have a better chance of healing and wholing the many inner wounds and ghosts that challenge each and every one of us. The way we perceive ourselves has a large role to play in how we live our lives. If we engage life in a state of disharmony with all parts of ourselves at odds with each other we are already at a severe disadvantage. In order to begin to heal and whole we need to start looking within as well as without. As such, it is important to begin healing our relationship with our inner self before we can really move forward with our lives. This healing of the inner self is a critical tipping point that will affect our all around progress and holistic self-development.

We are born without external perception of who we are. This develops over time. Though it is my belief an entelechy of purpose comes in with us at birth, many of our ideas, beliefs and habits, the dressings we don, come from the environment and our life experiences. We develop personalities and internal perceptions by engagement with the environment and the experiences with which we engage. This affects our outlook on life, leading to the conceptualization of the self that becomes most habitually familiar to us. More often then not, aches and pains of living are buried deep inside, a protection against our hesitancy to face them. If they are not released, these negative emotions can haunt our lives for ages with devastating consequences. Instead of allowing them to fester and wound from the inside out, there is much we can do to address and heal our inner being, creating a better relationship between all parts of our self so that we can move forward with a harmonious life. In order to heal the inner being and move away from the instinctive self-destructive behaviors we often display we need to be willing to establish a committed bond of communication with the inner self.

We Are Intertwined Products of our Environment

In one way or another we are products of our social environment, bombarded with perceptions and ideas that can put us down and lower our self-esteem. Many look in the mirror, see only negative things, and think only negative thoughts. This is not a healing way to honor one’s self and the need for inner self-healing is critical to moving beyond this stage in order to perceive our self as someone worthy of respect and affection. If we do not like or love ourselves how then can we expect others to show us this same respect. We are often predisposed to look at ourselves as lesser persons, but this is not appropriate action if we are to grow and bloom into our deepest potential.
In the process of healing, we need to look inwards and face all the different facets of our lives. It is best to look at ourselves from many different aspects and angles in order to achieve a balanced, healthy, healing outlook of self. We have to dig deep and locate the inner strength to face our dragons and our deep seated wounds head on in order to move past that which blocks us from unfolding into our greatness.

Craft Your Art of Healing Harmony

In order to craft the artistry of our lives, it’s important for us to not only focus on the outside but to also nurture and heal that often forgotten inner self. Only then can we achieve all that we desire in life. We need all parts of ourselves working together in healing harmony, the true mastery for which we were born. If we learn to align the inner self with the rational self and the higher self, we have a better chance of reaching a goal of three part harmony that can be a very special gift to the coffers of the world.

Life does not always give you want. And because of the lack of manifestations of their desires, many people felt empty and unhappy about life. Thus, if you want to stay happy in life, there is one thing you need to know and accomplish with ease, to love and appreciate yourself.

If you look carefully in life, it is not the lack of those materialistic things in your life that makes it miserable.

Indulging in materialistic items may seem as one of the ways to stay happy. However, you know that happiness obtained from those items is only temporary.

True and genuine happiness arises from you working inside out, not outside in. Being happy is an inner feeling and it does make sense to work out the issue from the place called ’self’.

Unhappiness usually stem out of your lack of self esteem and self appreciation. At home, your parents have taught you to appreciate others and be grateful to people who assisted you along the way. You are taught to say “Thank you” to others, present gift to others as a token of appreciation etc.

However, have you been taught how to appreciate yourself? How to acknowledge your own success and give praises to you? Do you love yourself for who you are?

To love is to accept. More often than not, we tend to choose what we want to accept about ourselves:
Talents
Strengths
Ability…

However, that is not love. Ask any parents or a couple deeply in love, they will tell you that they will accept their children or their spouse as who they are, for their strengths and weakness.

Others like you for your strengths, well your loved ones love you for your weakness.

To choose to only accept your strengths is definitely not one of the many ways to stay happy. No one can seek to be perfect in this world.

And because of lack of self love and self appreciation, it resulted in you having to seek affirmations from others by indulging yourself in the role of the victim where you will do things to:
Gain other people’s attention
Gain others’ sympathy
To affirm yourself that you are not capable or lovable…

The truth is your improvement will be much faster and greater when you focus on your successes, your wins and the things you do right rather than overly concerning yourself with your past mistakes.

Thus if you want to stay happy, stay in love with yourself!

Invest 15-30 minutes every night and review the successes you accomplish in the day. I call it the “Appreciate Self Game”.

And like all other games, this game also has its own set of rules:
Write out at least 10 accomplishments for the day
Do not repeat the accomplishments from the previous days. By not repeating your accomplishments, it forces you to be more aware of your different successes and winnings in the day.

Self appreciation and self love is not something you want to eliminate from your life.

THE POWER OF WORDS CAN MAKE YOUR COSMIC ORDERING SUCCESSFUL

Words in Cosmic Ordering are very powerful tools, and here is a story to show what I mean.

There once was a wise sage who wandered the countryside. One day, as he passed near a village, he was approached by a woman who told him of a sick child nearby. She beseeched him to help this child.

So the sage came to the village, and a crowd gathered around him, for such a man was a rare sight. One woman brought the sick child to him, and he said a prayer over her.

“Do you really think your prayer will help her, when medicine has failed?” yelled a man from the crowd.

“You know nothing of such things! You are a stupid fool!” said the sage to the man.

The man became very angrywith these words and his face grew hot and red. He was about to say something, or perhaps strike out, when the sage walked over to him and said: “If one word has such power as to make you so angry and hot, may not another have the power to heal?”

And thus, the sage healed two people that day.

Do use the appropriate words and make them positive and see the results!

WHEN YOU GIVE TO OTHERS MAKE SURE IT IS OF SOMETHING THAT IS BENEFIT TO THEM

Yes, we?ve all done it ?placed our order with the Cosmos, had whatever it was manifested and then we?ve just plodded on without a thought of giving something back (not tithing) in celebration for what we have received. Then you might have ran through your head a few ideas of giving something back but of a nature that causes you little trouble or effort. Well, read this story and see if you can match up to what giving is all about.

As Gandhi stepped aboard a train one day, one of his shoes slipped off and landed on the track. He was unable to retrieve it as the train was moving. To the amazement of his companions, Gandhi calmly took off his other shoe and threw it back along the track to land close to the first. Asked by a fellow passenger why he did so, Gandhi smiled. ?The poor man who finds the shoes lying on the track,” he replied, “will now have a pair he can use.?

DO YOU FEED ANGER OR FEED LOVE

Some of you may recall the newsletter I put out to you that had a piece about forgiveness? in it? Well, it was about forgiving those who had wronged you in order that you could proceed to Order from the Cosmos with a clean mind. Holding grudges against people can draw towards you something that I have named ?Catastrophic Negativity?. I don?t want to bore you or I with the same piece I wrote about that, but basically if you harbour grudges then they can come back and bite you on the rear, with a vengeance, they draw equal negativity to you.

With that in mind, here is a story that aptly puts what a lot of you are in need of.

A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said “I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.”

The grandson asked him, ?which wolf will win the fight in your heart??

The grandfather answered: ?The one I feed.?

LOVE BREEDS SUCCESS AND WEALTH

A woman came out of her house and saw three old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, “I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.”

“Is the man of the house home?” they asked. ?No?, she said. ?He’s out.?

?Then we cannot come in?, they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. “Go tell them I am home and invite them in,” he said.

The woman went out and invited the men in. ?We do not go into a house together,? they replied. ?Why is that?? she wanted to know. One of the old men explained: ?His name is Wealth,? he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, ?He is Success, and I am Love.? Then he added, ?Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.?

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. ?How nice!? he said. ?Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!?

His wife disagreed. ?My dear, why don’t we invite Success?? Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: ?Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!?

?Let us heed our daughter-in-law’s advice,? said the husband to his wife. ?Go out and invite Love to be our guest.?

The woman went out and asked the three old men, ?Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.? Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other two also got up and followed him.

Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: ?I only invited Love, why are you coming in?? The old men replied together: ?If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would?ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!?

Happiness is actually found in everyone. However, as the time goes by, as a matured adult, we find it increasingly difficult to win back our happiness.

The fact is happiness has never eluded you. All along, it has been hidden deep inside you. You just failed to recognize it, that’s all. Being happy is a choice and it really depends on how we choose to be happy and the choices we make day in and day out which raises to our happiness scale.

Abraham Lincoln observed that we humans have the ability to decide how happy or how stressed, how relaxed or how troubled we want our lives to be.

Since you are reading this, your choice is already very clear. This is how we choose to be happy. You choose to be happy today!

And to aid you in your quest to acquiring your happiness, here are some simple choices which you can make to you stumbling upon happiness:

Stumbling Upon Happiness – Pick 1

Showing gratitude is an attitude. By sincerely demonstrating gratitude to the countless wonderful things in life, not only will you help yourself focus more on the positive events, which in turn make the Law of Attraction works in your favor, it also brings more joy and laughter to the other people.

Take some time every night to write down at least 10 things which you are grateful for today. Try to include different people you meet in the day and recall what they have done to help you better yourself. Do not write the same events as what you have written in the previous days.

Stumbling Upon Happiness – Pick 2

If you are addicted to news and is finding it hard to start your day without your daily dosage of news, then it is probably time to get less of it. Think of the news you read about in the newspapers or reported in the various medias today. Are the majority of them good news or bad news? The truth is 99% of what we read or see is negative news. Obviously, if you choose to stay happy, you will not want to start your day filling your mind with negativity, will you?

Stumbling Upon Happiness – Pick 3

Time management is not only useful in making you more productive in your work. It can also contribute greatly to your happiness. Unlike money, time is something that we can never earned back no matter what we do. By learning how to manage your time well, you will become more productive and accomplish more in your life. In any case, your happiness does come from your accomplishments, don’t they?

Stumbling Upon Happiness – Pick 4

Put back the long lost laughter and smile back into you. Smile to other people when you see them. Thank them with a wide smile and you will be answered back with one too. After all, smiles are contiguous.

Stumbling Upon Happiness – Pick 5

Maintain good relationships with other people. Part of your happiness comes from being able to express your feelings and affections to other people. Keep an open mind when discussing difficult issues with others and try to understand others in their viewpoint. Refrain from forcing your ideas and beliefs onto others.

To stay happy, stay in love!

What’s important is not how we choose to be happy, rather we have made the choice to be happy.

Contrary to popular belief, procrastination does serve a purpose in your life. And that is why this is a lesson in procrastination which you will not want to miss. You may have been fighting procrastination for as long as you can remember. However instead of offering you a miraculous cure for procrastination, let’s take a step back from your present to better understand the presence of procrastination in your life.

Like most people, you are often overstretched in areas of your life. Currently you are playing several different roles at any one time, e.g. roles of a productive employee, a filial child, an understanding partner, a caring parent, a helpful friend and many other more which you seek to do well and excel in. However, there are just too many roles for you to fit into at any one time.

And in addition to that, you are obliged to adhering to the duties of every roles, their respective “shoulds” and “musts”. The truth is regardless how well you plan your time, you only have a limited time and energy every day. There is only this much of things you can seek to accomplish daily. However, most “procrastinators” fail to realize that.

Instead, day after day, they try to accomplish all their tasks in one day. And when they fail, they beat themselves up and feel that they procrastinate in completing them.

Any time management experts will tell you that attempting to do everything within a short period of time is suicidal. Eventually, you will run of gas and burn out.

Unknown to many, we are all procrastinators in this modern world. Everything you do carry with it an opportunity cost. When you decide to invest your time and energy in playing a particular role well, you will be neglecting your other important life roles at the same time. And when you fail to meet those “shoulds” and “musts” which come along with those roles, you feel that you have not done enough.

Thus, rather than constantly beating up yourself for not doing enough and hoping for a heaven-sent cure for procrastination, why not look into yourself and determine what you truly value in your life.

By determining the priorities of the different roles in your life, you will better understand what you truly treasure. And it does make sense to allocate more time and energy in fulfilling those more important roles to your very best while giving less attention to other less crucial roles, isn’t it?

That will eliminate the need for you to want to do everything within a short period of time and along with it the misconception of procrastination.

This is a lesson in procrastination which took many people a long time to understand.

CAN YOUR LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY GIVING BACK TO OTHERS

When you get to be my age (which, for some of you, is really old, (though it doesn?t seem so old to me, Stephen Richards, anymore), you will find yourself beginning to ask, did my life make a difference?

That?s the day of personal reckoning. And I think the only way to face it is to consider, every day of your life: How can I do something for somebody else? How can I give back to others? It may be teaching, it may be becoming a doctor, you may be successful in business - no matter what your career path, there will always be the opportunity to give back.

Cosmic Ordering is not all about taking, but about giving. This is not tithing whereby you set a certain percentage of your earnings to one side and to be given away. You cannot just buy this ?giving back to others?.

My hope today, as you commence to new beginnings, is you will always keep your eyes open for those opportunities to give and embrace them as your best sure way of doing well.

THE MOST VALUABLE GIFT IN THE WORLD IS PRICELESS AND YET ALSO SO INEXPENSIVE

You know, while everyone is chasing a bigger pay rise, more returns on their investments and fatter cheques (checks) from TV show royalties, there is something we can overlook in life as being worth far more, yet so inexpensive for us to attain. Here is a story to show what I mean.

Junior high school students in Chicago were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what the considered to be the Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the most votes:

1. Egypt’s Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Grand Canyon in Arizona
4. The Panama Canal
5. The Empire State Building
6. St. Peter’s Basilica
7. China’s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn’t turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, “Yes, a little. I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.” The teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.”

The girl hesitated, then read, ?I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch…
2. to taste…
3. to see…
4. to hear… (She hesitated a little, and then added…)
5. to feel…
6. to laugh…
7. and to love.?

The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.

May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful - and we don’t have to travel anywhere special to experience them.

Enjoy your gifts! They are priceless!!

STEPHEN RICHARDS SAYS GIVING YOURSELF TO OTHERS CAN BE PRICELESS

You cannot buy forgiveness with money, you cannot put right what you have done to yourself by throwing cash at it. This is so within Cosmic Ordering. Anyone can throw money about and look good, but when you are an unsung hero and give your time, then this is a priceless gift. By giving yourself to others and helping them it makes a difference, try it and see how rewarded you feel and see how much better you are within, and then try placing your Cosmic Order.

There is a man who I’d like to tell you about. His name is Sandy Greenberg. In his youth, Sandy was a very good student, but he came from a poor family. And so he went to Columbia University on a scholarship and there he met his roommate who also was receiving financial aid.

Now while he was a sophomore at Columbia University, Sandy contracted an eye disease that eventually proved to be glaucoma. But the trouble was, it wasn’t detected early enough, and as a result he became legally blind. But something else happened to Sandy that may surprise you. Sandy said that when he lost his sight, his roommate would read his textbooks to him, every night.

If your roommate had a serious disability, would you take the time to read textbooks to him every night, knowing the more you spend time reading textbooks to your roommate, perhaps the less well you might do with your other activities? That’s not as easy a question as it first appears.

But luckily for Sandy, his roommate did help him. And as a result, Sandy went on to graduate with honours. He got a Fulbright Scholarship, and he went off to study at Oxford. He was still quite poor, but he said he had managed to save about five hundred dollars as he went along.

His roommate, meanwhile, also went on to graduate school. One day, Sandy got a call from him at Oxford. And his former roommate said, “Sandy I’m really unhappy. I really don’t like being in graduate school, and I don’t want to do this.”

So Sandy asked, “Well what do you want to do?”

And his roommate told him, “Sandy, I really love to sing. I have a high school friend who plays the guitar. And we would really like to try our hand in the music business. But we need to make a promo record, and in order to do that I need $500.”

So Sandy Greenberg told me he took all his life savings and sent it to his roommate. He told me, “You know, what else could I do? He made my life; I needed to help make his life.”

So, I hope you’ll remember the power of doing well by doing good. Each of you, in your own lives, will be faced with challenges, with roadblocks, with problems that you didn’t anticipate or expect. How you are able to deal with adversity will be influenced, to no small extent, by how you deal with others along the way. What you get will depend a lot on what you give.

You probably want to know who Sandy?s roommate was. I think you’ve heard of him. Sandy’s roommate was a fellow by the name of Art Garfunkel, and he teamed up with another musician by the name of Paul Simon. That $500 helped them cut a record that eventually became ?The Sounds of Silence.?

Unbiased Recommendations About Astrology

Posted on: September 29th, 2008

Planets, Moon, Mercury When most of us think of astrology, we think about our natal sign and not much else. Do you know what some of the major influences are though, that define these Zodiac signs? First and foremost is the Sun. It is the center of all life and represents a person’s personality and spirit. It is the planetary ruler of the sign Leo.

More about understanding the horoscope.

The Moon, on the other hand, gives us our Soul. The Moon is the ruling planet of the Zodiac sign Cancer. It is very much associated with the mother and with maternal instincts. In Chinese astrology, the Moon represents Yin, while the Sun represents Yang.

Mercury rules over Gemini and Virgo. It is the planet of the mind and of communication. In other words, it is the planet of the idea and the means to communicate the idea. The planet Venus rules over Taurus and Libra. Venus is associated with characteristics and principles of harmony and beauty. It is of course, concerned with love. It is also concerned with the pleasure we derive from personal possessions.

Mars is the ruling planet for the dynamic Aries, and to some astrologers, Scorpio, although modern astrologers now determine that Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio. Mars is the planet that is concerned with the things you want, and how you go about getting those things. Jupiter is associated with pleasure and enjoyment. It is the ruler of Sagittarius and is also associated with principles of growth, religion and higher education.

Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn and is associated with principles such as reality and restrictions, boundaries and rules. Saturn was traditionally the ruler of Aquarius until the discovery of the planet Uranus. Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces and is associated with deception, illusions, spirituality and psychic phenomena. The planet Pluto is the ruling planet of Scorpio and is associated with the concept of transformation.

If you’re a Pisces, you probably have a lot of friends, as you have an accepting and malleable nature that makes it easy for other people to be around you. A Pisces is more likely to go with the flow rather than swim upstream to try to change people or their environment. They can be more emotional, rather than rational and analytical. They don’t thrive in highly disciplined environments. Nine-to-five jobs are anathema to the Pisces nature. They are drawn to situations where they can use their artistic gifts and their appreciation of art and nature. They love luxury and pleasure. They can think on their feet and an enjoy new situations and change. They are happiest in the fields of music, literature or art. Not that tough for astrology.

Who’s the ideal partner for the Pisces. Not the rugged, caveman type, for sure. A relationship with a Pisces will be meeting of the mind and spirit, less so than the body. Pisces are cerebral and not intensely sexual. The need to be courted gently. They are intensely loving and loyal and have a monogamous nature. Don’t abuse this rare creature.

If you’re a Pisces, you may find yourself occasionally being walked over or taken advantage of because of your fluid nature. You may need to find ways to assert yourself that’s in harmony with your psyche. Because you tend to go with the flow and live in the moment, you might have a money-management style that can leave you short of funds at times. You may need to be stricter with yourself to ensure that doesn’t happen.

This is just the beginning. The time for free astrology lessons.
