How To Speeding Ticket Advice

Posted on: September 29th, 2008

Nothing can deplete your driving excitement like a traffic ticket. Since I love to drive…fast that is; the general problem with it is called speeding tickets. I hate speeding tickets. That’s why I pay much attention to fighting traffic tickets.

I got a speeding ticket once off the Oregon Coast for going 65 in a 30mph zone. Unfair I tell you. I am not the only person who has gotten one of those “infractions” for speed limit signs that are unfairly posted; such was the case on a road trip with my friend a while back. You need some knowledge on how to fight speeding tickets to handle this.

Obviously this did not matter to the cop who pulled me over. I cannot even begin to tell you how annoyed I get too when they ask why they pulled you over. I think they get enjoyment out of asking that stupid little phrase. Apparently they have to ask you this to get you to confess to your “crime.” It is not a crime! If you weren’t meant to speed then why do they make cars that go faster than the average speed limit? I tell you it is a government conspiracy! They force you to learn fighting traffic tickets.

Fight speeding tickets by sticking it to the man! A hundred dollar speeding ticket is just a disguise for the real cost. Inevitably you always get scheduled to appear in court during working hours so that you continue to lose money. Now your $100 dollar ticket has magically turned into a $200 plus ticket. There is nothing good associated with speeding tickets. So I am an advocate for contesting speeding tickets every time.

True story; I got off with a warning for going 90mph in a 30mph zone, passing on a double yellow in front of on coming traffic, which just so happened to be a green cop car, in a car registered in California, a drivers license issued in Washington and insurance in Arizona. I suppose if you are women and are lucky enough to get pulled over by a man, your have a better chance of getting just a warning then an actual ticket.

Now I was wearing a bikini at the time, which I thought influenced the cop’s decision to let me off because my boobies were looking particularly voluptuous that day. However I am going to have to say that the cop could not prove I was speeding because it would be pretty hard to gauge my actual speed even if the cop caught me by radar since I was coming towards him. So there is a reason I got off with such obvious violations.

Thank God I got lucky that time, but other times, I have been not so lucky. Anyways I found this book on contesting speeding tickets; which is really good because now I know that bikinis will not really get you out of a ticket and now I know how to get my traffic tickets reduced if not completely thrown out!

I am not likely to get so lucky again and my driving record is not exactly good, so I have to pay fortune to keep my car insured and I cannot stand driving school. When a light turns yellow, what does it mean? Good gosh it is like being in elementary school again. Besides I know the traffic laws I just have a problem when it comes to obeying them. Like sex, I know that abstinence is best for protecting yourself against STD’s but I would rather have protection!

Obviously to avoid speeding tickets you probably should not speed, but 1. I cannot stand being behind some old man with an oxygen tank in the back of his car; and 2. Most speed limits are too slow. I got a speeding ticket in an alley once for going 10 mph. Gimmi a break! My Grandma can walk faster than that.

Anyways, there are ways to beat traffic tickets. You just need to know where to find them and what your best line of defense is when it comes to contesting the infamous speeding ticket.

The Stress Of Dealing With Wills And Probates

Posted on: September 27th, 2008

When it comes to dealing with wills and probate courts, most people would rather pass on the whole process. For them, dealing with lawyers is akin to taking a trip to the dentist office for a root canal, without the benefit of an anesthetic. Perhaps it is the thought of dealing with death. Some people cannot accept that a loved one or that they themselves will be passing on eventually. But it is a fact of life. In fact, besides paying taxes, it is one of the things in life that is absolutely guaranteed.

Some things just go together. Like peas and carrots. Wills and probate go together like peas and carrots. At least that is what Forrest Gump would say if he were talking about the probate system and having a will. Neither is truly bad and they work in tandem. Where there is one, there will be the other. At least that is the way it should always be but sometimes life does not turn out that way. Probate sometimes gets a bad name.

Probate is the process of an executor of an estate dividing up a deceased person’s property according to his or her will. That is the simple fact and truth about probate. The probate system takes a beating when attorneys have to become involved because there is a dispute over the will, the will has mysteriously disappeared or no will was ever made. In an effort to save time, let’s narrow it down to covering the last two issues because no article on the planet can give solid advice on a dispute between family members engaged in a bitter battle over material possessions. A bit of advice: know your rights, get the facts and get all your ducks in a row.

Wills and probate help decide how a person’s assets and debts will be dealt with after death. It is lining all the ducks up in a row. You are making sure that everything is settled so that your family and loved ones do not have to duke it out in a probate court. No one likes to get an attorney involved in a dispute. Just make sure you have a will in place and that you store several copies in different places. Do not make the mistake of trying to hide by ducking your head in the sand. Playing ostrich will not help.

the best of reverse phone directories

Posted on: September 23rd, 2008

The very concept of discovering someone’s identity through a reverse cell phone number search has become possible only recently. Although cell phones now seem almost necessary for everyday life, it wasn’t always like this. Prior to that, even seemingly small conveniences such as standard Caller ID to tell us who was on the other end of the line were simply unheard of. If you were to tell someone at that time that in the near future, they would have the capability to trace not only the owner of a cell phone number, but their place of residence, employers and any additional phone numbers they might have, most people would not have believed you.Since then, however, it’s become a basic tenet of modern life that, with the technology we now have, it is possible to find out this nearly unbelievable amount of information about someone given only a cell phone number. This information is found through a service called a reverse cell phone directory. Such a directory is an immense online database, an extremely important resource that will let you easily find an abundance of data from any cell phone number– most basically, the name of the person who owns that number. What Can’t Be Done With a cori background: There are many significant differences between a reverse cell phone directory and the more universally familiar telephone books for landline numbers. For example, it is usually not free to use a reverse cell phone directory– at least, not if they are legitimate and honest services. The service is generally worth paying for, however; it will allow you unlimited access to information covering the entire United States, as opposed to a phone book, which only covers a much smaller area.Reverse cellphone directory is an inexpensive tool to find any information you need from a cell phone number. It gives you full control in all of your search queries where unlike the past, private investigators or any government and phone company employees had access to run those searches. Now, many reputable companies work hard to compile all the data you need into an easy, expeditious search that is available for everyone to search. The Information You Can Find With A Reverse Cell Directory: You now have the opportunity to see the name of the person who owns the cell phone when you look at a reverse cell phone number directory. You will see the person’s current address and former address when you use a reverse cell phone number lookup. You can find information about the names of relatives. Also, you will see where the person is employed now, as well as, the person’s past employment history. This is surely an awesome opportunity to find out information and people can use this to their advantage.

Details About Computer Forensics Jobs

Posted on: September 22nd, 2008

Computer forensics is about to everything from exploring child pornography allegations, and online harassment charges to national security breaches, and more. The idea behind digital investigation is based on the fact that digital data is be stored, so you need to have the specialized training to recognize how data can be accidentally changed while investigating, and how to avoid changing it. A computer or a camera can be much like a dead body at a crime scene - you need to collect evidence from it in a very specific way.

There are many reasons to use computer forensics such as:

* In legal cases, computer forensic techniques are used to analyze computer systems belonging to defendants (in criminal cases) or litigants (in civil cases).
* To recover data when there is a hardware or software failure.
* To analyze the data on a computer system after a break-in
* To collect evidence against an employee that an organization wishes to terminate.
* To collect information about how computer systems work for the purpose of performance optimization, debugging, or reverse-engineering.

Special measures need to be taken when conducting forensic investigations if it is desired for the results to be used in a court of law. One of the most important procedures is to make sure that the evidence has been accurately collected and that there is a clear chain of custody from the scene of the crime to the investigator—and into the courtroom.

Get Contracts Online

Posted on: September 11th, 2008

Being in the new world of an Entrepreneur or Business Owner can be daunting. Not knowing where to go, what to ask, when to ask and even if you do ask, having the remote possibility of someone actually knowing what you are talking about can and will make it of the most stressful times of your life. If you are not extremely careful, you could be paying ‘school fees’ for the rest of your business life, if you don’t get it right up front. So make sure that you have contracts and agreements in place. When looking for legal generic documents or help in terms of legal documents that have to be written up specifically, I always use www.agreementsonline.co.za. Simplify your life – get your contracts in place and get yourself legally safe – it will go a long way to alleviating stress.

Let’s face it marriages are not made in heaven – why on earth would you think that partnerships are? The quickest and easiest way for a relationship to sour is when money and/or power and/or emotion come into the equation. So why not deal with these issues up front and get them out of the way. Some of the issues that a contract between yourself and a partner that should be covered are things like, but not limited to:

how is the business to be set up
finance - who pays for what when setting up the business
finance – who earns what
finance – what expenses are covered by the business and what expenses are personal.
Separation of duties – who is responsible for what
Divorce – if things go pear shaped, how do you undo the relationship without destroying the business.
Always have a beginning (how it is set up) a middle (how is it to run) and an end (how to undo it.)

Your association agreement should be in addition to the CC documents or Company documents that you sign. The CC and the Company documents that you sign upon registration just evidence that you both ‘own’ the business – nothing else.

Tip # 1 : Remember even if you are married to your partner – your marriage and your partnership are two separate issues and you should have two separate contracts in place. Just because your marriage goes sour doesn’t mean that the Business has to fall apart to. contracts

Then you need to set up contracts with your clients – they also need guidelines on how you want your relationship with them to run. Again it has to be about but not limited to:

What you are going to give them (either in services or product)
How and when they are going to pay you.
Remember the National Credit Act – unless you are a registered provider you cannot give credit or lend money. Therefore your payment terms need to be quite clear.

Tip # 2 : Ensure that your wording on your invoices matches (in spirit) what your Terms & Conditions say – your invoice cannot say ‘Pay on presentation’ if your Terms & Conditions say “Payment 30 days”.

Tip # 3: Make sure you have indemnity clauses in place to protect yourself from issues beyond your control.

You need to have contracts in place with your Service Providers too – they also need to have consequences if they don’t deliver and please believe me – many won’t.

Tip # 4: Beware of signing sureties! Banks and landlords love to tie you up with sureties – don’t be drawn into signing! They could end up costing you your Business, your home and even the shirt off your back. contracts

Contractors and Agents – especially if you are out-sourcing work – make sure that your expectations and those of your contractors and/or agents are clearly reflected in your contract, and that you both have your responsibilities and the consequences thereto clearly documented.

Tip # 5: Make sure you meet the requirements of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and that your Agent/Contractor falls outside of the requirements of ‘What is an Employee’ as legislated and promulgated into law.

Employees need contracts too – in fact your employees are required by law to have Letters/Contracts of Employment in place, within 48 hours of the staff member starting work. Your employee also needs to know what their duties and job descriptions are.

Make sure that issues like leave, sick leave, family responsibility leave, termination, hours of work and the like are covered in your contract.

Tip # 6: Make sure that you have all the Labour Requirements in place.

Having your contracts in place will give you absolute peace of mind.

Who Checks Criminal Records And Why

Posted on: September 11th, 2008

Since 9/11, the American public has become much more conscious about security. It is now common for someone looking for work to learn that an employer checks criminal records of prospective new employees. Criminal background checks are now being done by some companies on current employees. As a result, some people are finding that offenses committed many years ago are causing trouble in the present. Additionally, most states have laws requiring professional licensing boards to do criminal record checks to for occupation-related convictions. This practice is leading to youthful offenses, making it difficult for workers to find jobs. Some people are even losing jobs that they have worked at for years.

As part of the Government’s identity theft solutions a company must always obtain a prospective employee’s written consent before it can run a check and get criminal record information. Read your application carefully. Often the wording for obtaining consent for a criminal record check is written into the job application, though some companies use a separate consent form. Many states have laws limiting how far back they can check for convictions, or limiting the types of convictions they take into account for business or job-related offenses. Even if your record has been expunged, these types of offenses may still come up in a criminal records search. You may want to check with a lawyer to find out how far into the past an employer can look for arrests or convictions.

A state licensing board also checks criminal records of applicants in many professions. Teachers, health care workers, child or elder-care workers and accountants are examples of the types of people who may be subject to criminal record checks. In this case, the background check will probably be limited to occupation-related offenses. Thus, a conviction for larceny may not create a problem for someone who is applying for a license for massage therapy, but one for prostitution or another sexually related offense would. A criminal record will be especially problematic if you are applying for a license to work with vulnerable persons, such as children, the sick or the elderly.

Whether it is a company checking the background of a prospective employee, or a state licensing board that checks criminal records, a past offense can create problems in obtaining work. If the offense was in the distant past, a clean criminal record in the intervening years can work in your favor. Having your record expunged can also help in gaining employment or a professional license. In either case, if you have had a brush with the law, then you should see a lawyer to find out how your past offenses will affect your being able to find employment.
