It seems everybody has caught the travel bug and this business sector never seems to stop expanding. Sure it has its ups and downs in the face of global financial difficulties but it seems that some people will sacrifice everything for that all important family vacation or even a long weekend break.
Cheap Spanish holidays are always in vogue although many people have started finding even cheaper ways to get that vacation by arranging it all themselves.
The travel companies of course are only fuelling this migration from the travel agencies because of the squeeze as much out of them as possible mentality with under occupancy charges for 4 people sharing a one bedroom apartment.
Can you believe it! For substantially less you could get a two bedroom apartment in a small complex with a pool and many more facilities in the apartment than you will find with the tour operators.
Ok , so you have to get your own transfer but if you shop wisely you can even get your own hire car for two weeks and still come out on top.
With a little digging around the internet you can find a nice apartment in one of the Canary Islands, book a cheap flight and hey presto instant budget family holiday, which of course leaves more cash for you to have a good time.
