Top Meditation Tips For A Great Start To Your Day

Some people jump out of bed every morning with a smile on their face. Most of us find it no where near as easy to leave the cozy embrace of our bed and face the day. So you’ll be overjoyed to find out that one of the common benefits of meditation is a feeling of greater alertness when you wake up.

If you aren’t really a morning person, try starting the day with a meditation techniques known as ‘golden light’ – a process. It’s extremely useful in winter when your day may actually start while it’s still dark outside.

Many meditation techniques teach the visualization of golden light pouring down into the top of your head and surrounding your body. This light is powerful form of energy – exactly what you need to get you through a the day.

Golden Light Meditation

You can start this exercise as soon as you realize you have woken up.

Notice your breathing. Pay attention to how the breath comes in and out of your nose

As you inhale imagine attracting golden light in through the top of your head.

Imagine the light flowing through you with each inhalation - first filling your head, then your throat, then your chest and arms, your stomach and legs.

Imagine that you are shining with golden light, floating gently just above your bed and radiating beams of light. Stay that way for as long as you like.

When you are ready, exhale slowly and open your eyes.

Be sure to eat something after using this meditation techniques.
